Old Fashioned with Infused Ice Cubes

This classic Old Fashioned Cocktail gets a fun twist with orange and cherry infused ice cubes.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1-2 dashes of bitters
  • 2-3 oz. bourbon or whiskey of choice
  • 1 naval orange
  • cocktail cherries

Instructions
 

For Infused Ice Cubes

  • Slice the orange and add the orange slices and/or cherries to the ice cube tray. Freeze. You can leave as is or squeeze the orange a bit or add cherry juice.

For Old Fashioned with infused Ice Cubes

  • In a rocks glass, add the sugar, bitters, and bourbon or whiskey.
  • Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Add in the infused ice cubes and enjoy.

For a classic Old Fashioned

  • Add the whiskey or bourbon to the glass with the sugar (or simple syrup), cherry, orange, and bitters.
  • Muddle until ingredients are smashed and sugar is dissolved. Add ice and top with a dash of soda water if desired.
