• First lay out some parchment or wax paper into your 9x13 baking dish (or butter the pan).
• In a large pot, turn the heat to low on the stove and add in the butter. Add in the mini marshmallows and let melt, stirring once in a while.
• Add a few drops of red food coloring to your liking (can make pink or red).
• Add in the rice cereal and stir until well combined. Then pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. I like to spray my hands with some non stick spray and press down into the pan. Let set for 30-60 minutes.
• Remove the treats from the pan out onto a cutting board. Spray your cookie cutter with some non stick spray and cut out as many as you can into hearts.

Decorating Rice Krispies Treats

• Place some parchment paper on a baking sheet, plate, or counter. Melt the candy melts according to package instructions. I used the microwave in 30 second intervals.
• Then dip each heart Rice Krispies into the melted candy, set on parchment paper, and add sprinkles before the candy sets.
