Baked Apple Donuts with a Brown Sugar Glaze
These delicious baked donuts come together easily with pantry staples and fresh grated apple.

- 2 cups flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 4 tbsp butter melted
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 cup of milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 large apple washed and grated
For Brown Sugar Glaze
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 2-3 tbsp milk
Combine the flour, sugars, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a medium sized bowl. Whisk it all up so that everything is well combined.
In a separate bowl combine the melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk and mix.
Pour the mixture over the dry ingredients and mix well. Then fold in to grated (or shredded) apple.
Fill a piping bag or Zip-lock bag with the batter and pipe into a greased donut pan. Or if you don't have that just carefully spoon into the pans.
Place the pans on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for about 12-15 minutes until center is cooked.
Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes. Then flip our of the pans onto a cooling rack or parchment lined baking sheet.
For the Brown Sugar Glaze
In a small bowl combine the powdered sugar, milk, brown sugar, and cinnamon a nd whisk until the glaze forms.
Dip the warm donuts into the glaze and set back onto the parchment paper lined baking sheet.
Let cool and let the glaze set ad harden before serving or storing.
