Method
- Combine the flour, sugars, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a medium sized bowl. Whisk it all up so that everything is well combined.
- In a separate bowl combine the melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk and mix.
- Pour the mixture over the dry ingredients and mix well. Then fold in to grated (or shredded) apple.
- Fill a piping bag or Zip-lock bag with the batter and pipe into a greased donut pan. Or if you don't have that just carefully spoon into the pans.
- Place the pans on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for about 12-15 minutes until center is cooked.
- Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes. Then flip our of the pans onto a cooling rack or parchment lined baking sheet.
For the Brown Sugar Glaze
- In a small bowl combine the powdered sugar, milk, brown sugar, and cinnamon a nd whisk until the glaze forms.
- Dip the warm donuts into the glaze and set back onto the parchment paper lined baking sheet.
- Let cool and let the glaze set ad harden before serving or storing.
