White Chocolate Baked Christmas Donuts

These easy baked donuts are loaded with festive cheer and flavor for Christmas.

Equipment

  • donut pans

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tsps baking powder
  • pinch of salt optional
  • 4 tbsp butter melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract optional
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips

For White Chocolate Ganache Glaze

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl combine the flour, sugar, the baking powder, and salt and whisk until all is well combined.
  • In another bowl combine the melted butter, the eggs, vanilla, and peppermint extract. Whisk until all is mixed well.
  • Then slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix until batter forms.
  • Then fold in the white chocolate chips with a spatula.
  • Fill a piping bags or Zip-lock bag with the batter and pipe into greased donut pans.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for about 12-15 minutes or until batter is cooked in the center of each donut.

For White Chocolate Ganache:

  • Before the donuts are done baking, heat the cream over medium low heat just before boiling. Then remove from heat.
  • Place white chocolate chips into a bowl and pour the hot cram over the and whisk until melted.
  • Remove donuts from pan (cooled slightly) and dip into white chocolate ganache.
  • Then place onto some parchment paper or on a cooling rack and add Christmas sprinkles.
