Cheesy Skillet Taco Spaghetti
Change up your weeknight meals with this quick and easy taco spaghetti dish. Quick and simple with just seven ingredients and comes together in one pan in about 30 minutes!
Prep Time 5 minutes mins
Cook Time 25 minutes mins
- 1 lb. ground beef or turkey
- 1 diced jalapeno
- 1 packet low sodium taco seasoning
- 1 1/2 cups salsa
- 1 8 oz. can of tomato sauce
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 8 oz. Spaghetti Noodles (regular or whole wheat) or pasta of choice
- 1 cup Mexican Style Shredded Cheese more of less to your liking
- Tomatoes, Sour Cream, Hot sauce for toppings optional
First Grab out your cast iron skillet and heat over medium high heat. Add in the ground beef and diced jalapeƱo if using. Cook until browned. If it's greasy, drain and return to the heat.
Next add in the taco seasoning, salsa, tomato sauce, and water. Give everything a stir to combine and bring the mixture to a simmer.
Break your spaghetti noodles in half and add to the pan. Use a piece of foil or pan cover to cover and simmer for about 20 minutes. (stir halfway)
After the 20 minutes and the noodles are tender, top with shredded cheese and cover to let melt a bit.
Then top garnishes/toppings of choice. I highly recommend hot sauce.
