Cherry Apple Cobbler with Cake Mix
This Cherry Apple Cobbler with Cake Mix is so easy to assemble with fresh apples, dried cherries, and boxed cake mix.
Prep Time 10 minutes mins
Cook Time 35 minutes mins
- 8 small Apples or 6 large
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tbsp. cinnamon
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup dried cherries
For Cake Mix Cobbler Topping
- 1 15 oz. Box of yellow cake mix
- 1 12 oz. can of Sprite
- 4 tbsp. butter
First peel and slice up your apples. I used about 8 small apples so 6 larger would work, too. Slice them into about 1/2 inch pieces.
Add them to a 9x13 baking dish (or a bit smaller). Next add the sugar, cinnamon, flour, and vanilla. Give everything a mix with a spatula until well coated.
Then sprinkle in the dried cherries.
For Cobbler Topping
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix and 12 oz. of Sprite (or similar). Whisk until well combined and no longer lumpy. Pour this over the apples and spread around.
Cube up some butter and add around the top of the cake mix. Place in your pre-heated oven and bake for about 35 minutes at 350 degrees F.
Serve warm as is or with some vanilla ice cream!
