Cinnamon Roll Cake

This easy cinnamon roll cake comes together in one bowl with pantry staples.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
Cinnamon Filling
  • 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
Vanilla Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Method
 

  1. Combine cake dry ingredients.
  2. Add egg, milk, and vanilla to dry ingredients and mix.
  3. Slowly stir in melted butter until well combined.
  4. Pour batter into a greased pie dish or cake pan.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine 1/2 tbsp cinnamon and 2 tbsp of melted butter and whisk.
  6. Pour cinnamon mixture over the cake batter and swirl in a circular motion using a butter knife.
  7. Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
  8. After pulling cake out of oven, combine powdered sugar, milk and vanilla and whisk until a glaze forms.
  9. Pour glaze over cake while still warm.
