Easy Homemade Pizza Dough

This homemade pizza dough comes together in just a few minutes and is ready to bake in an hour.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/4 oz packet Active Dry Yeast
  • 1/2 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Rosemary or Basil optional
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 5 cups flour

Equipment

  • 1 Stand Mixer

Method
 

  1. In the bowl of the stand mixer combine all of the ingredients except for the flour.
  2. Use the whisk attachment or a whisk and mix until well combined.
  3. Then switch to the dough hook attachment of your stand mixer.
  4. Slowly add the flour 1 cup at a time mixing between each addition.
  5. Once all of the flour is added let the hook do the work and mix for about 5 minutes.
  6. Transfer the dough to a greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth.
  7. Let rise for at least an hour.
  8. When ready to cook, flip dough out onto a floured surface and cut into three dough balls or four smaller balls.
  9. Roll out onto pizza stone or pan of choice and add toppings!

Notes

**to store, wrap individual dough balls in plastic wrap and either refrigerate or freeze.
