Equipment

  • 1 Slow Cooker or Dutch Oven

Ingredients

  • 1 Venison Roast or ground (or other cut)
  • beer
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 green pepper chopped
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 jalapeno diced
  • 1 12 oz. can of beer
  • chili powder
  • 1 1.25 oz. pack of chili seasoning
  • 2 14.5 oz. cans of chili ready diced tomatoes
  • 1 29 oz. Can of tomato sauce
  • 1 14.5 oz can of stewed tomatoes
  • 3 oz. tomato paste

Instructions

  • Optional Step: The day before you cook, cut up the roast into cubes and marinated in some beer overnight. (Note: if using ground venison no need)
  • Drain the beer from the venison and add to a pan along with the ground beef. Cook until browned and drain any grease.
  • In your Slow Cooker add in the browned venison, beef, and the rest of the ingredients. Give everything a stir. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
  • Serve warm with topping of choice. I love sour cream, shredded cheese, and oyster crackers.
