St. Patrick's Day Sugar Cookie Bars (with Cake Mix!)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 15 oz. box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 17 oz. packet of sugar cookie mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 sticks butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the frosting
  • 1 can cream cheese flavored frosting
  • 2-3 dops green food coloring
  • green sprinkles

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, sugar cookies mix, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix with a spatula until batter forms.
  2. Pour batter into and sprayed 9x13 baking dish and press down until formed to the pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 30 minutes until golden brown. Let cool.
  4. Remove the cap and foil from the can of frosting and microwave for about 20 seconds until stir-able. Add 2-3 drops of food coloring to your favorite shade of green. Mix well.
  5. Pour the green frosting to the cooled cookie bars and spread around. Top with green sprinkles.
  6. Cut into bars and enjoy!
