Apple Blondies with Maple Glaze

These apple blondies are simple to make, delicious, and topped with a maple glaze.

Equipment

  • 9 x 13 baking dish

Ingredients
  

  • 3 medium apples peeled, cored, and diced.
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick) melted
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp baking powder

For Maple Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions
 

  • Peel, core, and dice your apples. (I sprinkled with cinnamon and mixed)
  • In a medium bowl combine both white and brown sugars, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter.
  • In a separate bowl combine the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and baking powder and whisk until well combined.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix (using a spatula or wooden spoon).
  • Then fold in the diced apples.
  • Pour into a greased 9x13 baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes. Let cool.

For Maple Glaze

  • In a small bowl combine the powdered sugar, milk, and maple glaze and mix until sugar is dissolved.
  • Pour glaze over blondies and spread with a spatula.
  • Cut into bars and serve, enjoy!

Notes

**If you like a stronger maple flavor, can add some to the batter or an additional tablespoon into the glaze.
