Course Lunch, Main Course
- 1- 1 1/2 lbs. Chicken breasts
- 3/4 cup Creamy Italian Dressing or regular
- 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1 cup Tomato & Basil Marinara Sauce more or less to your liking
- 5 slices Mozzarella Cheese
- 5 Hoagie Buns
First start by either pounding the chicken breasts down a bit or if they are large slice them in half to thin them out.
Add them to a container or Zip-lock bag and add in some of the Creamy Italian dressing and Italian seasoning if desired. Let marinate until ready to cook.
Fire up your flat top or grill. Add cooking oil if needed. Remove the chicken from the marinade and add to the grill.
Let cook for several minutes until you can see that the chicken is cooked halfway. Then flip to the other side.
Once the chicken is done (or close) turn the heat down and a spoonful of sauce to each chicken breast.
Then add on the mozzarella cheese. Let melt for a few as you toast the buns on the other side of the griddle.
Once everything is warmed and the cheese is melted, add the loaded up chicken breast to the buns and serve.
Optional step- either add a little butter to the side of the flat top with the buns, or you can even melt butter to brush on top of the toasted buns and add a dash of the Italian seasonings too.
