Turkey Gobblers

If you are looking for a fun and easy Thanksgiving treat, then you need to try these cute chocolate turkeys! I take you step by step on How to Make Thanksgiving Turkey Gobbler Treats. These are super cute and the kids will love assembling them with graham crackers, frosting, Oreo cookies, and candy corns! Or customize them with whatever leftover Halloween candy you have!

This quick and easy Thanksgiving holiday craft takes little time, requires little preparation or clean up, and is a delicious treat. Sofie and I had fun making these last week with some leftover Halloween candy. It was a good project for her and she loved eating them! We can’t wait to take them over for Thanksgiving dinner!

What you will need for each Thanksgiving Gobbler Treat

  • One sandwich cookie. Oreos can be used, or any other brand.
  • Two tablespoons of frosting. White frosting or chocolate frosting are best.
  • Five pieces of candy corn.
  • One malted milk ball (or Reese’s peanut butter cup)
  • Red writing gel or cinnamon candy to make the wattle
  • Candy eyeballs (optional)
  • Graham crackers (optional)

I had a ton of Whopper candies from Sofie’s Halloween bucket, so that worked out perfectly. You can make as many or as little as you would like. So just grab out as many ingredients as you need to make each Thanksgiving Treat.

How to make these Thanksgiving Turkey Gobbler Treats

Directions

1. First if you are using the graham crackers, crack them in half. Then open the Oreo cookie. Using a butter knife, spread a little frosting on both cookies, directly over the frosting that is already on the cookie. Make the frosting just thick enough to hold the candies to the cookies. Add one cookie to the graham cracker.

2. Make a small mound of frosting on one cookie, near the top of the circle.

3. On the other cookie place the malted milk ball in the frosting, this becomes the body.

4. Place five pieces of candy corn, point side down, on the cookie as well. Push the candy corn pieces into the frosting to make them secure. This becomes the tail feathers.

5. Dabble a little red gel or a red candy next to the body of the Thanksgiving Gobbler. This becomes the wattle.

6. Then stand up the decorated cookie and press into the frosting of the other cookie to make it stand up straight.
