It’s the start of holiday baking for many of us and we are always looking to try new easy recipes! These Christmas Magic Cookie Bars are great for something different, they are addicting, and festive! Best part? These easy cookie bars come together with just six ingredients.
I am usually in charge of bringing a few Christmas treats to the family get together’s. My family isn’t huge on desserts so I keep it simple with some basic Christmas cookies, Christmas Crack, or something that is just a good hand held dessert.
What I love about these Christmas Magic Cookie Bars
These Christmas Magic Cookie Bars are perfect because these combine the flavors of a chocolate chip cookie but add some holiday cheer with the red and green M&M’s. Of course you can add more ingredients to make them more like the traditional seven layer bars recipe by adding nuts or other flavor chips, too.
But I kept this magic cookie bars recipe simple with just graham crackers, butter, sweetened condensed milk, coconut, chocolate chips, and red and green M&M’s!
How to make magic bars
First start by making the graham cracker crust by mixing the melted butter and graham cracker crumbs. Then press into the bottom of your 9×13 baking dish. Next pour the sweetened condensed milk over the graham cracker crust and spread to cover.
Then top with the coconut flakes and chocolate chips. Final step add the M&M’s on top.
Bake the cookie bars at 350 degrees F for about 25 minutes until the edges start to brown. Then let cool before cutting. Enjoy!
Tip & tricks to make sure these cookie bars turn out great!
- Use parchment paper to prevent from sticking and to make removing easier.
- Let cool for at least 1 hour before cutting.
- To easily make the graham cracker crust- toss the graham crackers and melted butter into a food processor and pulse until combined.

Christmas Magic Cookie Bars
Ingredients
- ⅓ cup butter melted
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- ½ cup coconut flakes
- 1 ½ cups chocolate chips
- 1 ½ cups Holiday M&Ms
Instructions
- First mix the melted butter and graham cracker crumbs together. (I like to toss into my food processor and pulse until combined).
- Press the mixture into 9×13 baking dish that is lined with parchment paper.
- Then pour the sweetened condensed milk over the graham cracker crumb mixture.
- Next sprinkle the coconut and chocolate chips evenly over the sweetened condensed milk.
- Top with the red and green M&M's.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for about 25 minutes, or until the edges start to turn golden brown.
- Cool for at least 1 hour, then cut into bars.
