Ingredients Needed for these Halloween Cookies
🍪Cookie Mix – I make these with either a simple sugar cookie mix or chocolate chip. You can also make homemade cookies if you’d like or make them really easy by buying package of store bought cookies! 🍪Ingredients for Mix – Follow the instructions on the cookie mix package. This usually means adding butter, eggs, or water, depending on the brand. 🍪White or Vanilla Frosting – A can of store-bought frosting is perfect here. Smooth it over the cookies to create Jack’s face. 🍪Black Decorating Gel – This is what brings Jack Skellington to life! Use it to draw his stitched smile, eyes, and nose. |
How to Make Easy Jack Skellington Cookies
Step 1: Bake the cookies. Prepare your cookie mix according to package instructions. Bake the cookies and let them cool completely before decorating.
Step 2: Frost the cookies. Spread a smooth layer of frosting on top of each cooled cookie. This will be Jack’s face.

Step 3: Draw the mouth. Using the black decorating gel, draw a wide smile across the cookie. Add vertical lines through the smile to give it Jack’s stitched look.
Step 4: Add the details. Use the gel to make two small dots for the nose and draw two larger ovals for the eyes. Repeat for all the cookies until you have a tray full of spooky Jack Skellingtons!
