Looking for a new wireless meat thermometer for all of your outdoor cooking needs? I am excited to share with you my experience and review on the new INKBIRD INT-11P-B Wireless Meat Thermometer! Although this post is sponsored by INKBIRD, all opinions are my own honest thoughts.

Inkbird Wireless Thermometer in Charging Block

If you have been reading along with me on my blog, you know that I have a passion for creating easy meals and a love for cooking outdoors. Between the use of my pellet grills and my griddle, over time I have ventured into cooking and smoking more meats at home.

I love smoked brisket, ham, steaks, stuffed chicken breast, salmon… you name it. Since we often smoke at lower temperatures, it is more important than ever to have temperature control since you are cooking to a certain internal temperature, not time.

INKBIRD with Mobile app

The INKBIRD INT-11P-B Wireless Meat Thermometer allows for temperature monitoring from your phone or other mobile device while you go about your day in the house or in your backyard (or if you are like us-the driveway/front yard).

About the INKBIRD INT-11P-B

Wireless– completely wireless for less mess. No more tangled wires or having to continuously check on your food.

Bluetooth Connectivity– The thermometer operates via a mobile app that can stay connected to the device for a long distance range of up to 300 feet outdoors. (**depending on obstructions/obstacles)

Waterproof– The thermometer can get wet and you can even toss it in the dishwasher for easy cleaning.

Dual Sensors- 1 Internal temperature sensor (-10~100°C/14~212°F) & 1 ambient temperature sensor (0~300°C/32~572°F) so great for low and slow smoking or high heat grilling/searing.

No Data Loss– The app will automatically store your cook data for 30 minutes even if you lose internet connection.

Rechargeable Block/Case– The block charges in 3 hours and the thermometer will charge up in 25 minutes while you prep your food and then will last up to 25 hours at high temperatures on a full battery (or up to 7 days at room temperature).

What I loved about the INKBIRD INT-11P-B Wireless BBQ Thermometer

  • That it came with a charger versus needing batteries.
  • The packaging was high quality, the first thing I said was, “fancy”.
  • The INKBIRD Mobile App was very simple to navigate.
  • Sleek design of both the thermometer & charging case.
  • Ability to set “pre-alarms” so you know when you care getting close.
  • Accurate results.
  • Came with instructions (especially about what the lights on the charger mean)

What I thought could improve

  • The app doesn’t show the approximate “remaining” cook time like some other similar products I have seen.
  • While I was in my house, I lost the Bluetooth connection a few times being further away from the smoker. (Understanding that walls & obstructions can affect the connection).

How to use the INKBIRD INT-11P-B

I found this thermometer very simple to use. Basically open it up, charge it for 25 minutes with the included charger, and download the INKBIRD Mobile App. I have an iPhone 14 and was easily able to download and navigate the settings within a few minutes. Turn the device on, the app will scan for the product, and boom done. Click on the thermometer icon and you are ready to start cooking.

Putting this wireless meat thermometer to the test

Last Sunday we decided to smoke a spatchcock turkey. This was the perfect chance to give this new thermometer a try. Once my bird was ready to go on the smoker, I pulled up the app and quickly navigated the options.

The INKBIRD Mobile App

Once I clicked into the app, I selected the thermometer, then it pulls up a main screen showing the temperatures. Then you select the food icon where it pulls up 26 different options such as beef, ribs, fish, sausage, brisket, etc. There was a turkey option, so I clicked on that.

The app will give you the recommended target temperature or you can customize it to your liking. What I like a lot was that there is an option to set a “pre-alarm” to let you know when you are getting close.

Bluetooth Range & Reliability

I stayed outside the majority of the day and played out in the yard with my kids. The app had no problem staying connected. I walked around the block, too. No problems. I even drove to the corner store to grab something where it stayed connected until I was a few streets over. Then once I was back in my neighborhood it picked right back up where it left off.

When I was inside the house for a bit, I had several times where I received a warning that the device lost connection. So I do wish that signal was a little stronger for those purposes. But either way the app continued tracking the data even when it went offline.

Accuracy & Performance

When I first received the product, I gave it a quick calibration test by tossing it in an ice bath. The thermometer quickly and effortlessly came down to 32 degrees F.

Once the turkey was ready to be pulled off, I decided to check the internal temperature with my other instant-read meat thermometer. The results were within a few degrees in several different spots. So, I was happy with that. The Turkey was cooked perfectly and turned out super juicy.

Quality & Design

Thermometer

The actual thermometer itself is 6mm in diameter which is just right. This size won’t ruin your meat and it was easily inserted into the turkey without a problem. It had a nice feel to it, sleek, and just enough weight.

Charging block

I loved the charging block, truly. Everything about it. The way it slides open, the black and gold colors, and the fact that it is rechargeable. This thermometer will be up and running in 25 minutes once the block is fully charged. I have had experience with other products where my cook was delayed because I didn’t have batteries on hand.

This block/case is also magnetic to you can keep it nearby during your cook or slap it to the side of your refrigerator when you aren’t using it.
