- Great for sharing

A few months back I shared my recipe for Homemade Strawberry Vanilla Jam and I was coming up with some ideas to use it up. Hence these beautiful little danishes were born! My little one had fun helping me make these and was my ultimate test tester (just watch the video)… You and your family will love them! They remind me of the Pillsbury Toaster Strudels I used to eat with my mom 🙂
Ingredients Needed for these Strawberry Cream Cheese Danishes

| 🍓Cream Cheese – This is the base of your filling and gives the danishes that creamy, cheesecake texture. Make sure it’s softened so it mixes easily. 🍓Sugar – Sweetens the cream cheese filling just enough without being overpowering. 🍓Vanilla Extract – Adds a hint of flavor to make it taste extra special. 🍓 Puff Pastry – The flaky, buttery base of your danishes. I used Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry, but any brand works. 🍓 Strawberry Jam or Preserves – This is the star topping! Adds sweetness and color. You can use any berry preserves you like. Want to make your own? Check out my Strawberry Vanilla Jam recipe! 🍓 Egg – Used for brushing the edges of each pastry. It helps them puff and gives a golden, shiny finish. 🍓Powdered Sugar – For the glaze on top—it adds just the right touch of sweetness. 🍓 Milk – Mix with the powdered sugar to create a simple glaze that makes your strawberry and cheese danish look bakery-perfect. |

How to Make this Strawberry Cheesecake Danish Recipe
Step 1: Prepare the puff pastry. Cut the thawed puff pastry sheets into rectangles (cut in rows of 3 then in half – so 6 from each sheet). Place them on a parchment lined the baking sheet with a little space between each one. Use a butterknife to gently score a border around each rectangle. This keeps the filling and jam inside your strawberry and cheese danish while baking.
Step 2: Make the cream cheese filling. In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. This is the base for your strawberry cream cheese danishes.

Step 3 :Add the cream cheese filling. Spoon the cream cheese mixture into the center of each rectangle and spread with a spatula.
Step 4: Add the jam. Add a large spoonful of strawberry jam on top of the cheesecake filling and spread around slightly.
Step 5: Make egg wash. Add an egg to a small bowl and whisk. Brush the egg along the edges of each pastry. This helps the strawberry danish puff and gives it a golden, shiny finish.
Step 6: Bake. Bake for 12–14 minutes, or until the pastries are puffed and golden brown.

Step 7: Glaze and serve. Mix the powdered sugar and milk until smooth, then drizzle over the warm pastries. Serve immediately, or let them cool slightly. They taste amazing either way!

Additions & Substitutions
- You can switch up the jam if you like—raspberry, blueberry, or mixed berry all work great.
- Want to make it extra fresh? Add some sliced strawberries on top after baking.
- Try a different cream cheese flavor for a twist—vanilla bean or strawberry-flavored cream cheese gives it a fun upgrade.
- Skip the glaze if you prefer a less sweet pastry, or drizzle a little chocolate instead for a decadent treat.
