Why I love these Coffee Mug Christmas Gift Ideas

  • Budget-friendly: These items were from the Dollar Tree. Each mug cost about $5-$6 from loading to wrapping.
  • Customizable: Here I did some with a coffee bag, some with coffee pods, and some with hot chocolate. You could also add in hot tea packets.
  • Cute: If I received this as a gift I would say “awe” lol.
  • Personable: Check out some ways below to personalize them to the individual.
  • Great for the person who may be hard to buy for: Most people like coffee/hot cocoa so these are great for neighbors, co-workers, distant relatives, or teacher gifts!

Customizable Coffee Mugs: Where to Find Them

So every thing you see in this post for these coffee Christmas Gifts was purchased at the Dollar Tree! Obviously you can find cute mugs at boutiques, Walmart, TJ Maxx/Marshall’s, or pretty much anywhere during the holiday season. But I have to say that for $1.25 these mugs were pretty cute and budget friendly.

Ingredients/ Supplies Needed

Ingredients needed for these gifts
🎁Coffee Cup– I tried finding a little larger mugs from the Dollar Tree to keep these budget friendly. You can always find ones with fun sayings, too.

🎁Shredded Paper

🎁Small Coffee Bags, Pods, or Hot Chocolate packets

🎁Candy
– I added in some Hershey Kisses and peppermint sticks. You can add a candy cane or even chocolate covered spoons would be cute.

🎁Ornament– I grabbed generic ones but check out below on ways to personalize them

🎁Clear Loot Bags
– these are clear treat bags. You can use Christmas themed ones as well just make sure they are big enough to for over the mug.

🎁Ribbon
– Grab colors to match your cups or use silver, gold, or Christmas colors.

How to make these Coffee Cup Christmas Gift Ideas

Step 2: Fill it up. Add in the shredded paper confetti, coffee or hot chocolate, add a few chocolates, and candy cane.

Step 3: Add Ornament. I used a ribbon to tie an ornament around the mug. You could put it around the handle or even just after you wrap it in the loot bag.

Step 4: Wrap it up. Carefully pull a clear loot bag up and over the gift. Use a twist tie to hold together and tie on another ribbon. (Note: the larger one with the bag took 2 bags one up and one upside down).

Ways to personalize them

  1. Find a fun coffee mug. Choose one with a saying that means something to that person. Maybe they go camping, like dogs, birds, traveling, etc you get the idea.
  2. Choose a special ornament. Pick one that means something to them. Same thing- maybe find an ornament that represents your friendship, something they like, a kind of car they drive, or maybe they lost a loved one grab a cardinal ornament.
  3. Choose candy they love. Maybe they like Reeses cups, butterscotch candies, anything smaller that could fit.
