Well the holidays are almost here and I figured I would share a super easy festive recipe with all of you. I made this Cherry Filled Crescent Snowflake last year for both Christmas and New Year’s day and it was a hit!
If you like cherry pie filling you will adore this easy recipe! I have seen a few crescent roll dessert recipes with cherry pie filling on the internet over the years and knew I had to make one even easier. This Cherry Snowflake is perfect for brunch or dessert and pretty festive, too! You can have this made ahead of time and then just pop it into the oven when you are ready for it! Serve this along other great brunch items like my Bacon Breakfast Bubble Bake or my Bacon Cinnamon Roll French Toast Casserole!
What you need for this Cherry Filled Crescent Snowflake
Just two ingredients? Yes!!!
- Crescent rolls
- Cherry pie filling
- Optional* Powdered Sugar to dust on top

How to make this easy Cherry Pie Filling & Crescent Roll Snowflake
First start by roliing out your crescent rolls and seperating the triangles along the prefreated edges. Next you want to create a “wreath” or ring shape by place the larger end in the the middle. Then lay another triangle next to it so that the large ends in the center are touching. Repeat until all of the cresecent roll peices are layed out.
Then press the dough out in the middle so that all of the cresecent roll is touching. Creating a bottom. Spoon the cherry pie filling into the center.
Then take two of the points of the cresent roll and twist them together and fold it up and over the cherry pie filling.
Repeat and tuck all the twisted pieces to form your “snowflake”.
Then bake at 350 degrees for about 25-30 minutes until golden and crescent rolls are cooked. Then sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve warm!

Can you freeze cherry pie filling?
Yes! I only used half of a large can for this recipe so put the other in a freezer safe bag or container and freeze until your next baking adventure! Or use some to spoon over cheesecake bites or brownies!

Additions & Substitutions:
- You could use strawberry pie filling instead
- You could brush the top of the snowflake with some melted butter and add some regular sugar
Cherry Filled Crescent Snowflake
Ingredients
- 1 8 oz. package of crescent rolls
- 10 oz. Cherry Pie Filling (about 1/2 of a can)
- Powdered Sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Separate the the crescent rolls into triangles along the perforated edges.
- Then create a ring/ wreath but Placing the wide end in center then over laying the next triangle. Repeat until all crescent triangles are connecting.
- Then press the dough out in the middle to seal sough in the center.
- Spoon cherry pie filling into the center.
- Then take two points of the crescent rolls and twist together and lay over the cherry pie filling. Repeat 3 more times. Tuck in the twists to make a snowflake.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 25-30 minutes or until golden and crescent rolls are cooked.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve warm!

Yea you can just go a little longer. I have made it several times and varies slightly 35 minutes is probably good hope that helps.
