Homemade Fruit & Veggie Pops (juicer recipe) feature image

Ready for a fun Summer treat? My daughter and I love to make fresh juice together so I started turning the juice into these Homemade Fruit & Veggie Pops (Juicer Recipe) for when she wants a popsicle. First we make the juice which is a great combination of both fruits and a few vegetables then we drink some and freeze some for a treat!

Mike bought me a Nutribullet Juicer for Christmas last year and Sofie and I use it several times a week. Her recent love of popsicles as a treat made me think I need to use our juice so it is a little better for her. She has fun whipping up juice concoctions with me like we do our smoothies. So now we make these Homemade Fruit & Veggies Pops, too!

Trust me these fruit and vegetable popsicles are super tasty. I know most people probably think that it may not sound good but the vegetables are mild and carrots are sweet and the other fruits provide plenty of sugar for a good flavor. There is a whole pineapple in this recipe which of course we all know is Nature’s Candy. So if you have a juicer, give these a try! If you don’t have one and have thought about it, it can be worth the investment especially if you like to have fresh juice. Our juicer was about $120 which I really didn’t find too bad and it does a great job!

What you need to make this Homemade Fruit & Veggie Pops Recipe with your juicer

  • Juicer
  • Popsicle tray
  • Pineapple
  • Oranges
  • Cucumber
  • Carrots

You could add apple and more carrots. I just used what I had!

What is a Juicer?

A juicer is a type on kitchen appliance that extracts the liquids from fruits and vegetables. It completely crushes the entire food item and only produces the juice from those items. The pulp and the shreds of food are left in a different container.

What Fruits and vegetables can I juice?

Well there are only a few items that aren’t great for juicing since they don’t produce much liquid. The best to start with are your citrus fruits, carrots, cucumbers, and you can also add in some root vegetables too like ginger. Then you can always experiment from there!

How to make these juice Fruit & Veggies Popsicles

First prepare all of your fruits and vegetables. I take off the peel of the oranges, and cut the pineapple rind off with a sharp knife leaving as much pineapple as possible. Then cut you pineapple into sections that will fit into your juicer machine. I juice the core, too.

Wash and of your vegetables that you are using too. Once ready to roll, fill the juicer chute with the fruits and vegetables and start the juicing process.

This particular juicing recipe makes about 30-32 oz of juice. Sofie and I drank some and then froze some. So use what you want for juice or the popsicles. Pour into the popsicle trays and freeze for a few hours. If drinking the juice, try to consume within 3 days.
