Are you attempting to eat a little better but still crave something sweet? These Healthy Cranberry Raisin Chocolate Chip Cookies are the perfect solution!
My daughter Sofie ALWAYS wants to make cookies. She likes to help, still and while she is still at home I like to bake with her. Well- of course I love them, but if they are here, I eat them too. I figured I could make a healthy (ish) cookie to satisfy my cravings but don’t have to feel terrible about eating. These Healthy Cranberry Raisin Chocolate Chip Cookies are loaded with some good stuff but still taste like a delicious treat.
Now not to completely lose our favorite parts of a cookie- this healthy cookie recipe still has some butter and sugar, just not as much. We made these with whole wheat flour, oats, and even ground flax! I am currently breastfeeding our second Daughter Stella so I figured this recipe would make a good lactation cookie, too.
I froze these to have to pop out of the freezer when I wanted something to get me through the day. They are a little drier of a cookie, but the addition of the raisins, cranberries, and chocolate chips help the texture and taste!
What I love about these healthy cookies

How to make these Healthy Cranberry Raisin Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
In the bowl of your mixer or a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and both sugars. Beat until the mixture is light and fluffy. Then add in the eggs and vanilla and mix a little longer.
In a separate bowl combine the whole wheat flour, old fashioned oats, ground flax, cinnamon, and baking soda. Whisk until it is all mixed together.
Slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and beat until cookie dough forms. Then fold in the dried fruits and chocolate chips.
Roll into dough balls and place onto baking sheet.
Bake for about 11-13 minutes at 350 degrees. I sprinkles a little sugar on top, too…Enjoy!
Substitutions & Additions:
- Can use regular white flour
- Dark Chocolate Chips or even white chocolate chips would be great
- Like chia seeds? Go ahead and add those for a little more nutrition.
- Have dried cherries? Use those instead of cranberries.
