One thing about me that many people don’t know is that my absolute favorite desserts are chocolate cake and chocolate chip cookies (and chocolate ice cream). To be honest, I never make cookies because for some reason I find them to be a pain in the butt. And cake….only for cupcakes or special occasions. So when I saw a few ideas where you combine cake mix with mix-ins of choice, I knew I had to give it a try. Ta-dah… these Peppermint Hot Cocoa Cake Mix Cookies!

These cookies turned out so great! They are soft like cake, held like a cookie, and taste like a hot cup of chocolate. Have I sold you yet? These Peppermint Hot Cocoa Cookies are literally just FIVE ingredients. I like easy desserts so here you go!

Ingredients needed for these easy cake mix cookies

Chocolate Cake Mix
Eggs
Oil
Hot chocolate packets
White Chocolate Peppermint M & M’s

I found the White Chocolate Peppermint M&M’s at the grocery store but if you don’t have them you could use Andes mints, candy canes, regular M&M’s or whatever you want.

How to Make These Cookies with Hot Cocoa Mix

Mix alll of the ingredients together in a medium bowl. Then fold in the M& M’s.

Drop by the spoonful onto a parchment paper lined cookie sheet (for easy clean up). I saw a few recipes that tell you to chill the dough first. I assume so that its easier to form into more of a dough ball…but like I said..was looking for fast so just spooned the batter onto the pan. Maybe a little messy..but I promise the end result is awesome!

Bake at 350 for 11-13 minutes. ENJOY!
