Why I love this Smoked Crab Rangoon Dip
- Just 7 ingredients
- Something a little different
- Great for entertaining, the holidays, or for watching the game
My sister and I went on a little girls trip to western Michigan a few Summers ago and we ate at a little lake side place that served an amazing crab rangoon dip. I said I’ll have to recreate this for my site. But I forgot until recently where my husband keeps ordering crab rangoons from the local Chinese take out place. I figured what better way then to make this on our Traeger pellet grill (or smoker). Of course you can just pop it in the oven, too. But we cook outside quite a bit so I tossed it on the smoker for fun!

Ingredients Needed for this Smoked Crab Dip
š¦ Imitation Crab Meat– Of course if you have real crab that would be fantastic, but let’s face it…most of us don’t. But if for some reason you have leftover crab meat- this would be great in it! I just grabbed a pack of flake style imitation crab meat. š¦ Cream Cheese š¦ Whipped Dressing (Miracle Whip)- This is what I use but mayo works, too. š¦Cayenne Pepper– Just a little for some spice. If you don’t have it you can use red pepper flakes or a creole seasoning. š¦ Garlic– I like to use fresh garlic but garlic powder will work just fine. š¦ Green Onions š¦ Sweet Thai Chili Sauce š¦ Wonton Chips– I decided to make wonton chips in the oven which was super easy (see below) or Tortilla Chips will work just fine. |
