How to Make Frozen Apple Cider Margaritas

Step 1. Start by rimming your glass. I like to just use a little bit of the apple cider to dip the glass in then into your mixture of the apple pie spice/sugar on a small dish.

Step 2: Blend. Add the apple cider, tequila, triple sec, agave and ice to a blender. Blend until smooth and slushy. Pour into your prepared glasses and garnish with an apple slice and cinnamon stick, if desired.

Serve immediately and enjoy!

A Fun Fall Margarita

I love how these fall margaritas combine the flavors of a classic margarita with one of my favorite fall ingredients—apple cider. The frozen texture also makes them feel a little different from a traditional margarita.

Think of them as apple cider slushies with a margarita twist! They’re cold, refreshing, and perfect for sipping while enjoying all the best parts of the fall season.

Stef’s Tips for the Best Apple Cider Margaritas

Adjust the consistency. Add a little more ice for a thicker frozen margarita or a splash more apple cider if you prefer it thinner.

Make them extra festive. A cinnamon-sugar rim, apple slice, or cinnamon stick makes these margaritas perfect for fall entertaining.

Serve right away. Since these are frozen margaritas, they’re best enjoyed immediately after blending.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make these margaritas without alcohol?

Absolutely! For a non-alcoholic version, simply leave out the tequila and triple sec. You can add a little extra apple cider or orange juice for flavor.

Can I make these ahead of time?

Frozen margaritas are best served right away, but you can prep the ingredients ahead of time and blend them just before serving.

What kind of tequila should I use?

I liked Anejo for this because of its rich color and caramel notes but a blanco tequila works especially well in these apple cider margaritas too because it has a clean flavor that lets the apple cider shine.
