Well we are coming into September which for most of us begins apple season, slightly cooler weather, and comfort foods. Fall is my favorite time of year and I wanted to celebrate with these Baked Apple Donuts with a Brown Sugar Glaze. Super easy to make with pantry staples, fresh apples, and an easy glaze on top!
For some of you who follow along with my blog, know that we have a huge apple tree in our front yard. The tree is looking pretty healthy this year. That means I have to come up with new ideas to use up my apples. I usually make my Cinnamon Applesauce and my Apple Cinnamon Roll Up. Well, I have been seeing a lot of donuts online and thought they looked fun. I knew Sofie would like to make donuts so we ordered these donut pans and started creating some fresh donuts on Sunday mornings. These Baked Apple Donuts with a Brown Sugar Glaze are so delicious and perfect with a cup of coffee or some hot cider this Fall. Once you try these, you will make them over and over again, I promise!
So let me show you how to make donuts at home that all your friends and family will enjoy!

So basically grab some pantry staples, mix them up, pipe into donut pans and bake! These bad boys come together in under 10 minutes and bake for about 15 minutes. How to make Baked Apple Donuts with a Brown Sugar Glaze
First start by combining the flour, sugars, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a medium sized bowl. Whisk it all up so that everything is well combined.
Then in a separate bowl combine the melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk and mix. Pour the mixture over the dry ingredients and mix well. Then fold in to grated (or shredded) apple. I just used my cheese grater and it worked just fine.
Fill a piping bag or Zip-lock bag with the batter and pipe into a greased donut pan. Or if you don’t have that just carefully spoon into the pans. My pans are a little smaller so used two pans and made 12 donuts.
Place the pans on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for about 12-15 minutes until center is cooked.
Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes. Then flip our of the pans onto a cooling rack or parchment lined baking sheet.
How to make the Brown Sugar Glaze for the donuts
In a small bowl combine the powdered sugar, milk, brown sugar, and cinnamon a nd whisk until the glaze forms. Then dip the warm donuts into glaze and set back onto the parchment paper lined baking sheet. Let cool and let the glaze set ad harden before serving or storing.
I hope you try these and love them!! Stop on back and let me know if you do 🙂
