Well Christmas is just a few days away so I figured I would share an easy Christmas morning idea with you. These White Chocolate Baked Christmas Donuts are easy to make, have a dash of peppermint, and an easy white chocolate ganache as the glaze! Make a batch to snack on with coffee as the kids open their presents!
I have been having fun making baked donut recipes with Sofie. We enjoyed our fresh apple donuts and have moved onto experimenting with different flavors. These White Chocolate Baked Christmas Donuts are loaded with holiday cheer and flavors.
Baked donuts are basically more of a cake texture, but in the shape of a donut (and somewhat healthier since you aren’t frying them. This baked donut recipe requires some pantry staples along with some white chocolate chips and peppermint extract.
Equipment needed for these Baked White Chocolate Christmas Donuts
Parchment Paper or Cooling Rack
Piping Bags or Zip Lock Bags
I like the silicone donut pans because they pop right out but whatever ones you have, just spray the pans and the serving size may be a different depending on the size of your pans. The ones I have are a bit smaller and make 12 donuts.
How to make these White Chocolate Baked Christmas Donuts with a White Chocolate Ganache
For the White Chocolate Peppermint Donuts:
First start by combining the flour, sugar, the baking powder, and salt and whisk until all is well combined.
In another bowl combine the melted butter, the eggs, vanilla, and peppermint extract. Whisk until all is mixed well. Then slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix until batter forms.
Then fold in the white chocolate chips with a spatula.
Fill a piping bags or Zip-lock bag with the batter and pipe into greased donut pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 12-15 minutes or until batter is cooked in the center of each donut.
For White Chocolate Ganache:
Before the donuts are done baking, heat the cream over medium low heat just before boiling. Then remove from heat. Pour over the white chocolate chips and whisk until the chocolate melts.
Remove the donuts from pan (cooled slightly) and dip into white chocolate ganache.
Then place onto some parchment paper or a cooling rack so it can drip and add sprinkles before the chocolate sets. Sofie love sprinkles so we have a variety… but just green and red works, too 🙂

How to store these donuts
These are a little sticky, so I would store them on parchment paper in a large container. Best served fresh but good for up to three days at room temperature in an air tight container.
