Smoked salsa 3 jars

I have been wanting to make salsa but ONLY if it was easy. Well, I experimented a little with this Easy Smoked Salsa, and LOVED IT! If you haven’t smoked vegetables on the pellet grill, you need to try it. We have been seeing lots of recipes for Traeger salsa so knew we had to give it a go.

Okay so we have made a lot of salsa in the past. Well Mike has done most of it. But he always blanches, simmers, and it always is an all day process. Being as busy as I am, I wanted an easy salsa recipe with an easy process. Let me tell you, this was easy and delicious. And yes I did the smoker all by myself lol.

What we love about this Easy Smoked Salsa Recipe

  • Super simple process
  • Smoked vegetables create a flavor explosion
  • A little bit of spice
  • Makes use of the fresh vegetables from the garden

Ever since we bought a wood pellet smoker, we have experimented with many different recipes and things to put on a smoker that I would never have of thought of before! Like my Spicy Sausage Smoked Queso

Anyways, I wanted to keep it simple, so thats what I did. First, smoke the vegetables. Then I zizzed them up in my food processor.

How to make Smoked Salsa on the Pellet Grill:

To start, fire up your smoker to 225 degrees. Then cut up all the vegetables in half. I cut the tomatoes, onion, and peppers in half. I left the garlic whole. Spread it out on a sheet pan and sprinkle with sea salt and fajita seasoning. I used Meat Church Fajita Seasoning.

Then place the whole sheet pan in the smoker and close the lid. Let smoke at 225 degrees for 2 hours. This gave me the consistency and smoke flavor I was looking for.

Then I brought it in let it cool for a few minutes then placed in my food processor. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar. Blend in small amounts then keep adding more of the smoked veggies until you blend it all. (unless you have a large food processor)

This recipe makes about six jelly jars. I didn’t process them but if you want to check out some Canning tips head over to my Canned Bloody Mary Pickles post.
