These strawberry parfaits recipe will blow your mind with how simple they are. I made them for New Year’s Day and fell in love. These would be great for Valentine’s Day, when you have company, or just for a quick dessert for the family.
I had a can of strawberry pie filling that I wanted to use. And I have been lazy in my “baking game” lately with two kids. So instead I zizzed up some graham crackers, made some cheesecake flavored pudding, and got to layering! Ta-dah…these Easy Strawberry Pie Filling Parfait Cups were born. I use a lot of canned cherry pie filling in some of my desserts so wanted to switch it up and make these strawberry parfaits dessert!
We had these after some delicious smoked lobster and prime rib on New Year’s day. They were perfect to top off a fabulous meal. Light, easy, and just sweet enough.

What I love about these Easy Strawberry Pie Filling Parfait Cups
I love this dessert because they are no bake, they come together quickly, and are a bit lighter than most desserts. So these parfait cups make a great choice after a heavier dinner. Plus there is not too much to not love. Recipes with canned pie filling come together quickly and require little prep!
What you need for these strawberry parfait cups
- Graham crackers
- Butter
- Cheesecake Flavored instant pudding (or vanilla)
- Canned strawberry pie filling
- tub of whipped topping
- Fresh strawberries for garnish (optional)
- Parfait cups or plastic cocktail cups
Usually I like my strawberry desserts with fresh strawberries, but in the middle of winter in Michigan the produce isn’t the best and can be a bit more pricey. These mini parfait cups with canned pie filling were a great solution! Easy, budget friendly, and delicious! You can use regular vanilla pudding but I wanted mine to taste like strawberry cheesecake parfaits so I used cheesecake flavored instant pudding.
How to Make Parfaits
First step- make the graham cracker crumbs (unless you have a box of them).
In a food processor or blender add the graham crackers (in batches if necessary) and pulse with the meted butter.
Then make the pudding.
Make the cheesecake pudding by whisking with the cold milk until thickened.
Next- assemble!
Spoon the graham cracker crumbs into cups/glasses of choice.
Then add the cheesecake pudding, the canned strawberry pie filling, and the whipped topping.
Top with fresh strawberries and/or additional graham cracker crumbs for garnish.
Refrigerate until ready to serve and enjoy!
Can you use fresh strawberries instead of canned pie filling?
Absolutely! You could chop up fresh strawberries and layer for a lighter option. Or you could sprinkle with sugar and refrigerate until it makes its own liquid. You could also make your own strawberry pie filling as well.
How long will these strawberry pie filling parfaits last for?
I say best results within 3 days covered and refrigerated properly. They probably can go longer than that but the graham cracker crumbs will become soggy.
Make sure to PIN IT!
