I am sure you have tried ham sliders before, but my love for these Hot Honey Ham & Swiss Sliders is strong. A little sweet, a little heat, toasted Hawaiian rolls filled with thick ham and swiss cheese…..yes! These are perfect for entertaining or to use leftover ham.
I had some leftover Hawaiian dinner rolls from Thanksgiving so decided to make these Hot Honey Ham & Swiss Sliders. I have made versions of these ham and cheese sliders for parties, super bowl, and just as a quick lunch. These are great to wrap up and freeze too for grab and go lunches.
With just a few ingredients and a few minutes you can have a tasty little sandwich for your family or friends. Mike’s co-worker had given us some of his “Hot Honey” so I used that along with some brown sugar and butter to create a nice glaze on top of the buns. Don’t have hot honey? Of course you can use regular honey, too. Fell free to change up the cheese as well to your liking!
What you need for these Hot Honey Ham & Swiss Sliders
- Ham (deli, breakfast, or leftover)
- Swiss Cheese
- Hawaiian Dinner Rolls
- Butter
- Brown Sugar
- Hot Honey or regular Honey
- Optional* garlic powder
What to put Hot Honey on?
Hot Honey is sweet with a little heat so is great on these ham and cheese sliders. It would also make a great glaze for smoked ham, in a specialty cocktail, as a marinade for chicken, or as a dip for fried chicken or chicken tenders!
How to make these easy Ham and Swiss Cheese Sliders
First place the dinner rolls on a large baking sheet. Use a serrated knife to slice the entire thing in half so that the tops and bottoms of the buns can be separated. Then lay out the ham and place swiss slices on top of ham.
Place the tops of the buns over the ham and cheese. If you want to add any mustard or anything do it now. I didn’t add any I liked them just with the glazed buns. Then in a small dish melt the butter and stir in brown sugar and hot honey. Then brush the glaze over the top buns. Sprinkle with garlic powder and bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.
Serve these Kings Hawaiian ham and Swiss sliders hot and enjoy!!!!
