Looking for a different easy cookie for the holidays? These Red Sugar Cookies with White Chocolate Chips are super easy to make, are super soft, and tasty. Package a few up in loot bags and hand them out to neighbors and friends!
I often ask my toddler what we should make today and her answer is usually cookies. Then my follow up is “What kind of cookies?” She said “red cookies” so here these Red Sugar Cookies with White Chocolate Chip Cookies came from.
I basically adapted my pumpkin sugar cookies to make these since I knew they turned out soft and chewy. I liked these because we don’t need any fancy decorating.
What you need for these Red Sugar Cookies with White Chocolate Chips
- Flour
- Baking Soda
- Baking Powder
- Butter
- Sugar
- Eggs
- Vanilla
- Red Food Coloring
- White Chocolate Chips
How to make Red Sugar Cookies
Cookies are simple to make you are basically combining dry ingredients and wet ingredients into two seperate bowls, then mixing together. For these cookies combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and mix until well incoroprtated.
In a sperate bowl beat the butter until light and fluffy. Then add the sugar and eggs and conitunur to mix until all is mixed well. Slowly drip the food coloring to the darkness of your liking.
Mix a little longer and then fold in the white chocolate chips.
Then roll the cookie dough into balls and place on parchement paper lined cookies sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for about 13 minutes. Then sprinkle with a little more sugar after bakiing.

Red Sugar Cookies with White Chocolate Chips
Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup butter room temperature
- 1 cup sugar (can use more if you like it sweeter)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 tsp red food coloring
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a medium bowl combine the flour, baking soda, and baking powder and whisk until well incorporated.
- In a different bowl beat the butter until light and fluffy.
- Slowly add the sugar and continue to beat.
- Then add the eggs, vanilla, and food coloring and beat a little longer.
- Roll cookie dough into balls and place onto parchment paper lined cookies sheets.
- Bake at 350 Degrees for about 13 minutes.
