Looking to try a new dessert this Summer or on your next camping trip? Try this Strawberry Chocolate Blackstone Pound Cake to satisfy your sweet tooth without heating up the house! Buttery pound cake topped with fresh cooked strawberries and chocolate chips make the perfect after dinner treat.
I pretty much cook out on the Blackstone griddle at least five days a week in the Summer time. Its just easier, can cook several things at once, plus I love cooking outside! I love my Homemade McGriddles and my Campfire Donuts, but that is about the only sweet things I have made on it. I knew I needed to try my hand at some Blackstone desserts.
Why I love this Strawberry Chocolate Blackstone Pound Cake Recipe
This Strawberry Chocolate Blackstone Pound Cake recipe is super easy to make, light enough for a Summer dessert, and cooks within minutes on the Blackstone griddle. And all you need is FIVE ingredients for this easy Blackstone dessert.
Ingredients you will need for this Blackstone Dessert
- Strawberries– I used fresh chopped strawberries which cook down a bit and are naturally sweet.
- Sugar– the sugar help turn the strawberries into more of a syrup/pie filling texture.
- Butter– i added butter to the flat top to help cook crisp up the pound cake.
- Pound Cake– I grabbed a frozen pound cake but a fresh one would work, too.
- Chocolate Chips– chocolate and strawberries work so well together and slightly melt giving this dessert a fun twist.
- Whipped Cream or Ice Cream for serving (optional)
How to make this Grilled Pound Cake with Strawberries on the Blackstone
First wash and cut up your strawberries. I left them on the larger side. Add them to a bowl and sprinkle with sugar. Stir it all around.
Fire up the Blackstone grill over low-medium heat. Add on the strawberry mixture and let cook for a few minutes. I added a few squirts of water to help cook/steam the strawberries. Once they are slightly cooked, add some butter to the other side of the griddle and add the sliced pound cake.
Flip the pound cake slices once they are grilled to your liking and cook the other side. Once the strawberries are warm, soft ad cooked through top with the chocolate chips. They will slightly melt immediately.
Shut the heat off and remove the strawberries and pound cakes from the grill. Serve the hot strawberry mixture over the warm pound cake slices and top with whipped cream or ice cream and enjoy warm!

Additions & Substitutions:
- Have different fruit? Try it with some blackberries, peaches, blueberries, or whatever would cook down nicely on the grill.
- No pound cake? You could also serve the mixture over some angel food cake or even white/yellow cake cooked on the Blackstone, too.
- I had the Family Sized pound cake load and probably could have used more strawberries for extra topping. So you can cook more strawberries just add a bit more sugar.

Cleaning and maintenance tips for your Blackstone griddle after cooking desserts
Since there is sugar and a sticky texture to this dessert, you want to make sure you properly clean your griddle surface after you make this easy dessert on Blackstones. While it is still hot drizzle some water and scrape the remaining juices off of the griddle. Or you can wait until after you indulge and fire it back up and clean as usual. Then spread a little oil with a paper towel over the surface so it’s ready to go the next time.
