Ingredients Needed for These Taco Loaded Hash Browns
| 🌮 Frozen Hash Brown Patties – the crispy base that holds everything together. Bake them (or can use the Air Fryer) until golden so they can handle all the toppings. I found these at Aldi. 🌮 Ground Beef – the main protein and what gives these loaded hash browns their taco-style flavor. This is a great option when you’re planning ground beef and potatoes for dinner. 🌮 Taco Seasoning – keeps things easy and adds that classic taco taste. I use a low sodium packet or if I don’t have any I just use a homemade blend (cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, etc). 🌮 Mexican-Style Shredded Cheese – melty and perfect for sprinkling over the beef. It pulls everything together once it hits the hot hash browns. 🌮 Salsa – adds freshness and a little tang. Use chunky, smooth, mild, or spicy—whatever you like best. 🌮 Sour Cream – cools everything down and balances the taco flavors. 🌮 Guacamole – creamy and always a good idea. Even a small scoop makes these feel extra fun. 🌮 Green Onion – a simple garnish that adds a little color and crunch right at the end. |

How to Make Taco Loaded Hash Browns
Step 1: Cook the ground beef. First cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Break it up as it cooks, drain, and then stir in the taco seasoning (plus water it calls for). Cook until fully browned and done. (move on to next step while the meat is cooking…)
Step 2: Bake or Air Fry the Hash Brown Patties. Place the frozen hash brown patties on a baking sheet or the tray of the Air Fryer and cook according to the package directions until they’re golden and crispy. You want them sturdy enough to hold all the toppings.

Step 3: Build the loaded hash browns. Remove the hash browns from the oven or air fryer and evenly spoon the seasoned ground beef onto each one. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top so it starts to melt.
Step 4: Finish & serve. Top each hash brown with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole. Sprinkle with chopped green onions if you’d like. And there you go—fun, taco-style loaded hash browns ready to enjoy!

Additions & Substitutions
- Not a fan of ground beef? Try ground turkey or chicken — both work great here.
- Don’t have salsa? Swap it for pico de gallo or diced tomatoes for a fresh twist.
- Love a little extra flavor? Add black beans, corn, or jalapeños on top for a fun kick.
