Yes, I am part Irish and my birthday is the day after St. Paddy’s Day so we love celebrating! We have held a St. Patrick’s Day Party every year since we moved into our home. I generally like to prepare some more traditional Irish recipes for my family. But I have noticed that Irish recipes are hard to come by. Most of the internet is flooded with “Green” colored desserts and Lucky Charm Treats. So, I am no expert on what is real cuisine but I do know that the recipes are simple, comfort foods that make use of their surrounding crops. Potatoes are a must, oats, and if you want to consider beer and whiskey a crop… then yes those are included in the cooking, too.
