Whether you’re cooking for a crowd or just looking for a quick weeknight meal, this recipe is sure to become a new favorite at your house! No griddle? Of course you can cook them on the stove top as well. I like them with my steaks but you could easily make these the main dish served with some rice or on top of a salad.
Why I love this Blackstone Shrimp Recipe
On Easter we were smoking a nice cowboy steak and when I have steak, I LOVE having shrimp along side of it. For whatever reason seafood and steak just goes together. I am a huge fan of a little bit sweet and spicy fan so decided to whip up this Hot Honey Garlic Shrimp recipe to share with you. If you don’t want it too spicy you can leave out the red pepper flakes and opt for regular honey. But let me tell you the flavor combo was perfect!
The best thing about Blackstone Griddle recipes? They cook quickly and you can cook multiple things at once. So while my hubby was reverse searing our steak, I was tossing around these shrimp on the Blackstone (or flat top).
Shrimp on Blackstone Ingredients
- Shrimp– I bought some large frozen raw shrimp (peeled) with tails on.
- Low sodium soy sauce– I always opt for low sodium say sauce. Regular will work too maybe just use a little less and add some water.
- Hot Honey (or regular)- We are huge fans of Hot honey for an extra kick. You can use regular honey as well.
- Red pepper flakes– This kicks up the heat- so if you are not spicy fans- skip it or just use a dash.
- Garlic– I used 3 large cloves of garlic. If you don’t have fresh garlic, sprinkle generously with garlic powder.
So if you are looking to try some new Blackstone shrimp recipes, I hope you try this one! So easy and so flavorful.
How to make these Hot Honey Garlic Shrimp on the Blackstone
First defrost your shrimp by running them under cold water for a few. Then add them to a bowl and add in the fresh garlic, red pepper flakes, soy sauce, and hot honey. Give everything a stir to combine. Let marinate for at least 20 minutes. If you are cooking later, cover and refrigerate until you are ready to cook.
How long do you cook shrimp on the Blackstone
When you are ready to cook, heat up your Blackstone, flat top, or cast iron over medium heat. Add in the marinated shrimp (with the liquid). Let cook for a few minutes, flip, and cook a few more minutes until the shrimp start to turn pink.
Once cooked to your liking, pull them off and serve right away. If you have them, garnish with some chopped green onions or even sesame seeds if you want! Enjoy!
Pro Tip for these Blackstone Shrimp
- While the grill is still hot, add some water and scape away the sticky residue from the sauce.
- Cook just until pink on both sides for the best tasting shrimp. No need to over do it.
