Ingredients Needed:

Fresh tomatoes (or canned)- I used just over a cup of fresh diced cherry tomatoes (Roma would be great, too)
Olive Oil
Garlic Salt– I chose this so I didn’t have to add salt so garlic powder and salt would work if you don’t have that in your pantry.
Italian Seasoning– Italian seasoning blend works, if not you can use a little Oregano or dried basil.
Dash of red pepper flakes– this is optional. I like a dash into the tomato mixture.
French Bread/ Baguette– this recipe is for one loaf. If you want to double up just make more tomatoes.
Mozzarella Slices– or provolone would work-too!
Balsamic Glaze (or balsamic vinegar)
Basil (if desired)

How to make tomatoes for bruschetta

First chop up your fresh tomatoes or if using canned, drain the liquid and add to a bowl. Add in the olive oil, garlic salt, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Give everything a stir. Refrigerate until ready to assemble.
