This Cherry Chicken Pasta Salad is my all time favorite pasta salad to make! It is so tasty you honestly can just keep eating it and eating it… This easy pasta salad is great as a side dish at a BBQ or as a main dish for lunch all week long!
My parents always made a version of this Cherry Chicken Pasta Salad growing up whenever they had leftover rotisserie style chicken. One day I added the dried cherries and this became my go to pasta salad. I just used canned chicken but you can use rotisserie chicken or even tuna works well in this recipe, too!
What you need for this Cherry Chicken Pasta Salad Recipe:
- Cooked Chicken (or tuna)
- Bowtie Pasta
- Dried Cherries (or cranberries)
- Celery
- Onion
- Miracle Whip (or similar)
- Paprika for garnish (optional)
How to make this easy Cherry Chicken Pasta Salad
First start by cooking the noodles, drain, and rinse with cool water. Then chop up or onion and celery. Once the pasta is cool, add in the onion, celery, cooked chicken, and whipped dressing and stir everything all together.
Then fold in the dried cherries or cranberries and stir again.
Top with a little paprika for some additional color, refrigerate, and enjoy!

Cherry Chicken Pasta Salad
Ingredients
- 1 1 lb box Mini Farfalle pasta
- 2 cups whipped dressing
- 1 12.5 oz can chicken or 1/2 cup cooked chicken
- 1/2 cup dried cherries or cranberries
- 1 cup diced onion
- 2 stalks celery chopped
- 1/2 tsp paprika optional
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package.
- Drain and rinse with cold water.
- In a large mixing bowl add pasta and dressing.
- Mix well then add the rest of the ingredients.
- Sprinkle paprika over pasta salad.
- Refrigerate for at least an hour and serve cold.
