Ready for an easy appetizer for this Summer? Try these Garlic & Herb Smoked Shrimp. Easy to make, loaded with flavor, and smoked to perfection on your pellet smoker or grill. I made theses smoked shrimp on the Traeger pellet smoker but of course you can bake them, too.
We cook a lot of steaks during the warmer months and I absolutely love having steak and shrimp. We made these Garlic & Herb Smoked Shrimp for Mother’s Day and again a few weeks later with some Ribeye steaks. This smoked shrimp recipe turned out great so I figured I would share them with you.
We do not cook that much seafood here- although we love it. I make a delicious seafood lasagna, we love to deep fry pan fish, and make some other shrimp appetizers like my Cajun Shrimp Dip. Cooking seafood outside on the smoker is the way to go (especially if you have any picky eaters or people who can’t stand the smell of seafood).

How to make these Smoked Shrimp on the Traeger
This smoked shrimp recipe is so easy you will make it over and over again.
First defrost the raw shrimp by running under cool water. Then add the shrimp to the pan and drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle the seasonings over the shrimp, add in the fresh chopped garlic, melted butter, and the white wine.
I used Traeger’s Fin and Feather Seasoning which is a BBQ rub with garlic and paprika. So feel free to play around with the seasonings and rubs in your cupboard.
How long to smoke shrimp for on the pellet smoker
You can make these ahead of time and cover and place in the refrigerator until you are ready to eat. Then pre-heat the smoker to 225 degrees F. Place the pan in the smoker and let them roll for about 45-50 minutes.
Then serve hot and enjoy!
Additions & Substitutions:
- You can use different seasonings of choice- All purpose BBQ Rub, Blackening Seasoning, Lemon & Herb, or create your own.
- Squeeze a little fresh lemon juice in there.
