Well, this is my first Oreo dessert post, and man was it good! This No Bake Oreo Layer Cake is so easy with just a few ingredients and perfect for Summer. Layers of chocolate frosting, fluffy chocolate pudding filling, and Oreo’s….yeup.
When I crated this No Bake Oreo Layer Cake I was going for an Oreo version of an Eclair Cake…which it is pretty similar. The Oreo’s didn’t soften too much but it was like having a “dirt pie” and we loved it!
What you will need to make this No Bake Oreo Layer Cake:
- 1 Package Oreo’s (or similar)
- 1 box chocolate pudding
- milk
- 1 can chocolate frosting
- 1 tub whipped topping
YES THAT IS IT!!!! I LOVE EASY NO BAKE DESSERTS!
So this decadent dessert is so easy with just 5 layers….Oreo’s, frosting, pudding/topping mix, Oreo’s, then to top it off one more layer of chocolate frosting!
First make the chocolate pudding according to the package instructions. Once thickened, add that to the tub of cool whip and mix well.
Then melt the jar of chocolate frosting by placing in the microwave for a bout 30 seconds (cap and foil removed). Stir. Then get to layering.
In an 8×8 cake pan or Pyrex dish layer one row of Oreo’s on the bottom. Then pour half of the melted frosting over the Oreo’s.
Then pour the entire mixture of cool whip/pudding mixture on top of the frosting.
Then do one more layer of Oreo’s and top with other half of the frosting.
I had about 4 cookies that wouldn’t fit so I crumbled those up on top. Refrigerate at least 8-12 hours.

I had trouble getting all the ingredients to fit in an 8 x 8 pan. Did you use the whole 16 oz tub of Cool Whip?
I am so sorry just seeing this! It is just a normal size of whipped topping, so 8oz. If I wrote that, sorry I will go fix it and I hope it still was tasty!

Can you make this in advance and freeze it?
I don’t see why not! Cool whip is fine to refreeze. So I would say just give it enough time to defrost ( or will be a ice cake whi
Sorry got cut off .. may be an ice cream ish cake which may be delicious too 😋 but even a few days in advance will be fine to help soften the Oreos! If you freeze it let me know how it turns out.
