Just in time for Cinco De Mayo I figured I would share The Perfect Citrus Margarita with you all! All the flavors that you love of a classic cocktail with a little added love. Make this classic cocktail right at home!

The Perfect Citrus Margarita is my secret recipe that I use when I make a Margarita at the restaurant I work at. This version cuts that super mouth- watering sour mix taste.

Nice and smooth, The Perfect Citrus Margarita will become your new go to margarita recipe to whip up at home!

Why we love this Citrus Margarita:

I served these to our neighbors and they all were raving that these were so smooth and delicious. I figured I would share this easy cocktail recipe with you! Mike had found a pretty tasty tequila at the party store by our house. It is aged in whisky barrels and smells really smooth with a lime hint to it. But you can use whichever tequila floats your boats!

What you need to make The Perfect Citrus Margarita:

• Ice
• Tequila
• Triple Sec
• Sweetened Lime Juice
• Sour Mix
• Lime Slice
• Orange Slice (or a splash of orange juice)

How to make The Perfect Margarita at home:

First grab your glass of choice and rim your glass with juice from the lime or orange and dip in either sugar or salt ( I like mine with sugar).

Then add ice and squeeze one slice of lime and one slice of orange over ice. Next, add tequila, sweetened lime juice, Triple Sec, and Sour Mix. Stir and serve!!!!!

Ingredients

  

• 1.5 oz Tequila
• 1.5 oz Triple Sec (or Orange Liqueur)
• 1 oz Sweetened Lime Juice
• 3 oz Sour Mix
• 1 slice lime squeezed
• 1 slice orange squeezed
• salt or sugar for rim optional

Instructions

 

• In glass of choice rim the glass with juice of the lime or orange and dip in salt or sugar.
• Then fill glass with ice.
• Squeeze the lime and orange slices over ice.
• Add tequila, sweetened lime juice, and sour mix.
• Garnish with additional orange slice and ENJOY!

Notes

• can substitute Orange Juice for the orange slice
