If you haven’t noticed yet, I love incorporating oats into many recipes. I had some ripe bananas the other day so I created this Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Banana Bread.
Since I was young I always liked oats or oatmeal. For some reason I just know they are great for your heart health. I add them to my smoothies, sweets breads, and even pancakes!
This Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Banana bread is great for when you are craving something a little sweet. A treat, yet you can somewhat feel good about eating it! I didn’t use too much sugar either since the banana are sweet and the chocolate chips are in there!
How to make this easy oatmeal chocolate chip banana bread recipe?
Well since I like to keep baking very simple, this recipe is just that! I only used one bowl and mixed everything together.
Start by mashing your ripe bananas. Then add the the flour, baking soda, sugar, oats, and eggs.
Mix until well combined and then fold in chocolate chips. Pour into a greased loaf pan. Then I always add a few more oats or chocolate chips on top.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until center is cooked. Let cool before removing from pan. Slice and serve!!

Why should you eat oats?
I like to incorporate oats into my recipes because they are among the healthiest grains in the world! Some benefits to eating oats include:
- high in protein (helps you feel fuller loger)
- high in fiber (great for inner digestive track)
- can help lower cholesterol
- rice in vitamins and minerals
So why not throw a handful of oats in!
