One Bowl Parmesan & Chive Bread Feature

Ready for a quick and easy bread to accompany all of your meals? This One Bowl Parmesan & Chive Bread is just that. This quick bread is simple to make with just a few ingredients and great if you have some fresh chives growing out in the garden this Summer!

I don’t make too many “breads” besides sweet breads like my Blueberry Oatmeal Bread or my Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Banana Bread. So I decided it was time to experiment a little. I love making beer bread and also pizza dough from scratch, but knew I needed something new and different! This One Bowl Parmesan & Chive Bread is so soft, tasty, and perfect to go with a stew, soup, or even spaghetti dinner!

This bread comes together in one bowl so no need to bust out your mixer or bread maker. Really, truly, a simple and easy recipe for any night of the week! Like different herbs instead? Try adding rosemary or even basil from the garden!

What you need for this One Bowl Parmesan & Chive Bread

  • Salt
  • Butter

How to make homemade Parmesan & Chive Bread in one bowl

Simple as always, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Then add in chilled cubed butter and cut it into the dry ingredients by using two knives or a pastry cutter.

Once the butter is cut in and the mixture is crumbly and course, stir in the milk, chives, and parmesan cheese. Stir to combine and then pour the batter into a loaf pan or a muffin tin. Sprinkle with additional grated parmesan cheese.

Bake at 450 degrees until golden brown and center is cooked (about 20-25 minutes for a loaf). If cooking in muffin tin, go about 12-15 minutes. Let cool before removing from pan and slice and serve! The easy quick bread was great with a little butter or dipped into your favorite pasta sauce! ENJOY!
