Why I Love These Fancy Ice Cubes
Making flavored ice cubes is a great way to add flavor to your water, cocktails, and is fun for entertaining. I like to make orange and cherry ice cubes for our Old Fashioned’s, but I am mostly a vodka and beer drinker so thought I should whip up something fun for my drinks this Summer. These fruit ice cubes are also great for just water or in your kids drinks, too. So you can either make flavorful water, cocktails, or mocktails with these Red White and Blue Infused Ice Cubes.
What You Need for These Red White and Blue Ice Cube Recipe
- Ice Cube Tray– plain regular ice cube trays are used here or you can make large ice cubes with trays like these!
- Strawberries– I used chopped up strawberries- raspberries would work, too!
- Blueberries or Blackberries– I like blueberries for more of a Blue color & blackberries work, too.
- Sprite, Water, or other clear beverage– I used Sprite here for more flavor, but you can use just water or your favorite sparkling water/soda flavors,too.
How to Make these Easy Flavored Ice Cubes
Step 1: First grab out an Ice cube tray. Then chop up the strawberries, blackberries, or whatever fruit you are using. If you are using blueberries they can stay whole.
Step 2: Place a few piece of fruit in each cube then fill with Sprite, water, or whatever clear beverage you want.
Step 3: Place in the freezer and freeze for several hours until solid. Then add to your drinks and enjoy!
