How to make these Chocolate Almond Bars
For the Graham Cracker Crust:
First start by crushing your graham crackers. I use a food processor to keep it easy. Then mix the crumbs with the sugar.
Then add in the melted butter and stir.
Press the graham cracker mixture into a 9×13 baking dish and bake at 250° for about 10 minutes.
For the coconut layer:
In a small dish mix together the sweetened condensed milk and the shredded coconut until combined. Then spread on top of the graham cracker crust and bake for about 15 minutes.
For the Chocolate Layer:
Fill a small sauce pan halfway water and add a glass bowl on top to make a souble boiler unless you have a double boiler.
Then place the peanut butter, butterscotch chips, and semi-sweet chocolate chips in the glass bowl. Heat until the chips start to warm and melt, stirring often.
Once the chocolate is melted, spread over the coconut layer.
For the Almond Layer:
Then sprinkle with the sliced almonds.
Place baking dish in the fridge to harden.
When ready to serve, cut into desired sizes and enjoy!
