What You need to make this Giant Halloween Cookie
Pie Dish or Cake Pan – I have used both a 9.5 inch pyrex dish for a big deep dish thick and soft cookie. Package of Cookie Mix– I used the large package this past time and it came out nice and thick. The smaller package will work, too. You just need to keep an eye for a shorter cooking time. Can of Frosting– Vanilla or Chocolate Oreos, M&M’s, Sprinkles, Chocolate Sauce – or whatever floats your boat for decorating. Ice Cream or Whipped Cream– whatever you want to servie it up with! |
I have made my own cookie dough quickly for this cookie cake before, but sometimes we just need a quick idea for busy nights. A bag of Betty Crocker Cake Mix is it. Perfectly soft every time…yep. But you can easily make your own favorite cookie dough recipe, too.
How to make this Fun & Easy Halloween Cookie Cake
First make the cookie dough according to the package (mine called for 1 egg and 1 stick of butter). Press into the bottom of a greased pie dish or cake pan. Add in some sprinkles if desired and broken pieces of Oreos.
Bake at 350 for about 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
How to decorate this Halloween cake
Let cool then decorate however you want. I placed some canned frosting in a piping bag (or zip-lock) and piped the frosting along the edges. You can sprinkle additional candies or sprinkles around, too. Then Slice it, top with some ice cream & chocolate sauce and enjoy!
