We love cooking over the campfire and this year I decided to try baking, too! This Campfire Whiskey Peach Cobbler is so easy with just a few ingredients and fresh peaches you can wow your camping family!

Easy Campfire Whiskey each Cobbler

This classic dessert takes the traditional flavors of peach cobbler and transforms it into a delicious treat that can be enjoyed around the campfire.

Right now here in Michigan the peaches are in and nice and juicy so if you have some fall camping planned or want to bake this in the oven, try it! Campfire desserts are fun since you are already outside and can keep an eye on it as you spend time with the family.

I made this in a cast iron skillet on a cooking grate over the fire in about an hour and the peaches were cooked perfectly. One of my family members who passed away loved cooking in a cast iron skillet and he actually loved making a cobbler. So I wanted to make this in honor of him.

What you need for this Campfire Whiskey Peach Cobbler

  • Cake Mix– I just used a store brand Yellow cake mix (white would be fine, too)
  • Whiskey
  • Peaches
  • Sprite
  • Vanilla
  • Sugar

THAT IS IT! Love super easy desserts as it is, but can’t beat six ingredients whipped up quickly for the perfect Summer dessert! Plus if you are camping, these ingredients are easily packed and kept well.

The last time we made this he blanched the peaches. I wanted to simplify so I just sliced very ripe peaches and tossed them in some sugar, vanilla, and whiskey. Mike accidently bought Walnut Toffee flavored whiskey so I decided to put it to use!

How to make this Campfire Cobbler with peaches

First wash and slice up the peaches, skin on. Add them to your cast iron skillet. Then add in the sugar, vanilla, and whiskey.

Sliced peaches with whiskey in cast iron skillet.

In a bowl, combine the cake mix and can of Sprite (or lemon lime Soda works too). Mix it up until well combined.

Spread the cake mix over the peaches.

Cake mix on top of peach mixture.

I covered it with foil for the first 40 minutes then uncovered for the rest of time. You can absolutely make this in the oven, too. I would say bake at 350 until cake it golden brown.

We served it with ice cream! Enjoy 🙂
