Looking for a new side dish to serve with your favorite pasta dishes or even just an appetizer before dinner? Try these Easy Italian Dinner Rolls made with canned biscuits! Just a few ingredients, soft, flavorful, and great dipped in some seasoned olive oil.
I have been trying to come up with recipes with cherry tomatoes since they are in abundance in the garden this year. I added them to my smoked spaghetti squash recipe and still have tons out there. My daughter Stella eats them like grapes, but me? I like them cooked. So I decided to add them into some biscuits and served them up with dinner last week! So if you are looking for some garden fresh recipes or just recipes that use canned biscuits- give these a try!

How to make these shortcut Artisan Dinner Rolls
First open the can of biscuits (there are 8) roll each biscuit into 12 balls. (I pulled a little dough off of each one to get 12). Place into a sprayed cupcake/muffin pan. Then press them down a bit with your fingers.
Next slice your cherry tomatoes in half. Drizzle a little olive oil, add some Italian Seasoning, cheese, cherry tomato halves, and garlic powder to each one.
Bake at 350 Degrees F for about 15 minutes until golden brown. Enjoy warm as is or with some seasoned olive oil. See below.
What to make with these dinner rolls
These rolls would be great served up along side a big bowl of spaghetti with meat sauce, some chili, or really any meal you want a starch with. Or just make a batch for your next charcuterie board for dipping, too.
How to make a balsamic vinegar and olive oil dipping sauce for bread
When we have fresh bead from the bakery, or make these rolls I usually just whip up a quick dipping oil. Combine some olive oil, a couple drips of balsamic vinegar, fresh or powdered garlic, and Italian seasoning. You can even add some grated parmesan in there, too!
