🩵 Why I love Chili in Bread Bowls
- Fun to dip the bread into the chili
- A great way to serve a bowl of chili
- Festive to enjoy for football season
- Tastes great like a chili sandwich/ sloppy Joe!
Best football shaped bread
They make some White Bolillo Rolls at Kroger that look perfect like footballs. In these photos I just used some unsliced sub rolls. We don’t have too many bakeries around here- so pretty much anything will work. Make sure they aren’t super soft so that it holds the chili well.
How to make these Football Shaped Chili Bread Bowls
Step 1: Whip up a batch of your favorite chili recipe. I always make this Steakhouse Chili or even a pot of Corn & Black Bean Turkey Chili would be great.
Step 2: Cut out some of the bread in your buns or rolls. They make some White Bolillo Rolls at Kroger that look perfect like footballs.
