In all fairness I assumed that making my Mom’s Beef Stroganoff was super complicated. I would always say one day you are gonna have to come over and teach me how to make it 🙂 Well, little did I know actually this dish was very simple once she actually found the recipe and TEXT it to me haha, I decided it was the perfect meal to cook up. Mike enjoyed and Sofie liked it, too.

The recipe for my Mom’s Beef Stroganoff actually comes from a cook book from someone along time ago (most likely a church cookbook) just to give credit to someone. The traditional recipe calls for sliced mushrooms which neither Mike or I like so we did without, but if you like them go ahead and add them to it!

So this is actually a very simple recipe!

How to make this easy Beef Stroganoff Recipe

First slice your steak into thin strips. Then slice your onions (and mushrooms if using).

Over medium heat, cook the steak and onions (and mushrooms) in hot oil until the onions start to brown and the meat is browned on both sides.

Then add hot water, tomato paste, mustard, and salt and stir. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 30 minutes.

Combine the flour and water in a small bowl wish until flour has disolved. Then slowly stir in the flour mixture to the hot sauce cooking and tirring over low heat. Let simmer.

Then stir in the sour cream until well combined and let cook abother 1-2 minutes until hot (do not boil).

Then server over egg noodles and enjoy!!!!
