  • Pretty & Festive

We just got home from an indoor waterpark trip where we went and had breakfast at a pancake restaurant. They had a strawberry mimosa on their menu with strawberry puree. I ordered, sipped, savored, and thought it was a fun idea!

Strawberry puree in mimosa

🥂 What is a mimosa?

I am sure you have had one or at least heard of them. They are nothing new. Basically equal parts of Champagne (or sparkling wine) and orange juice. I usually like a bit more wine versus juice. I am not the biggest fan of traditional mimosas but I do enjoy ones with a spin such as my cranberry mimosas for Christmas time!

Mimosas with strawberry slice

Ingredients Needed for these Strawberry Mimosas

🍓Fresh Strawberries– I used about 5 large strawberries. 6 smaller will work. This puree made enough for 8 mimosas. Plus more to slice and garnish.

🍓Lemon Juice– I just squeezed a slice of lemon into the puree for a little tartness. You can easily skip it if you don’t have it or use bottled lemon juice as well.

🍓Sugar– I just wanted to sweeten it up a bit (also an optional step). Another great substitution would be agave.

🍓Champagne or Sparkling wine– You can use your favorite brand of speaking wine for this one.

🍓Orange Juice– Whatever type of orange juice is your fave- go for it.
